The cheapest private universities in Turkey

  • The costs of studying in Turkey vary widely among private universities, but in general, they are more expensive than public universities.
  • Despite this, the requirements of the private universities are easier and more appropriate compared to the public universities, and the following are the 11 cheapest private universities in Turkey:

1-Beykoz University

  • It was founded in 2016 and is located in one of the most beautiful neighborhoods of Istanbul in the Beykoz district.
  • It is one of the best and cheapest universities in Turkey and includes the faculties of engineering and architecture, management and administrative sciences, arts and design, and Social Sciences. 
  • Its annual tuition starts at 2050$ in most undergraduate programs such as Software Engineering, Business Administration, and Culinary Arts.
  • It's most expensive tuition fee is 2950$ in some majors such as computer engineering, industrial engineering, business administration, and aviation management.

2- Istanbul Arel University

  • Arel University was founded in 2007. It is located on the European side of Istanbul.
  • It includes 6 faculties, a vocational school, and a postgraduate institute, with a student population of approximately 12,000.
  • Its tuition fee is 2000-3500$, which is a flat rate for all undergraduate majors except medicine is 13000$.

3-Ostim Technical university

  • Ostim Technical University is the first industrial university in Turkey, established in 2017 in the capital, Ankara.
  • Its undergraduate tuition fees are 2000$-3500$ annually in the fields of industrial engineering, software engineering, information systems management, interior architecture, and environmental design in Turkish.
  • The fees for studying the same majors in English are $2250.

4-Istanbul Kent university

  • Kent University was founded in 2016 in Istanbul and includes 4 faculties, 2 vocational schools, and a postgraduate Institute.

  • Nişantaşı University was founded in 2009. It is located in the heart of Istanbul and includes 5 faculties and a postgraduate Institute of Social Sciences.
  • It is one of the cheapest universities in Turkey in terms of the quality and efficiency of its education, with annual tuition fees of $2450 for most undergraduate programs.
  • As for engineering, its tuition fee is $2,950 for civil engineering and software majors.
  • Medicine is the most expensive, with an average of 15,000$ for English & 13,000$ for Turkish annually, followed by dentistry at 12,000 for Turkish & 14,000 for English.

6-Fenerbahçe University

  • Fenerbahçe university was Founded in 2016. It is located in the Asian side of Istanbul in one of its most prestigious neighborhoods, the Ataşehir district.
  • It has 5 faculties: engineering and architecture, economics and administrative sciences, communications, sports sciences, and Health Sciences.
  • Its tuition fees start from $2,500 annually in most majors such as physical therapy, psychology, nutrition and diet, sports management, architecture, and others.

7. Atlas University

  • Atlas University is one of the modern universities, established in 2018, and is located in the heart of Istanbul on the European side.
  • It is characterized by the field of health services, as it owns a hospital for medicine and another for dentistry, in addition to laboratories, and a center for oral and dental health research.
  • Its tuition fees start from $2,779 annually in most majors in Turkish, such as computer engineering, interpretation, nutrition and diet, psychology, nursing, and others.
  • The tuition fees for studying nursing, industrial engineering, software engineering, psychology, molecular biology, and genetics in English are $3,206.
  • The medical major is the most expensive, as the fees for studying medicine in Turkish are $12,825 annually, and then dentistry is $11,970.
  • In the case of studying in English, the annual medical study fee is $15,390, and dentistry is $14,535.

8-Dogus University

It is a foundation university, established in 1997, located in Istanbul.

9-Altinbaş University

  • It is one of the most innovative and modern universities, established in 2016, and is located in the center of the Anatolian region of Ankara.
  • It includes only 3 faculties: engineering, arts and design, humanities and social sciences, and the language of study is English. 
  • The annual tuition fee is $3,000 for a bachelor's degree, which is a flat rate for all majors.

11-Üsküdar University

  • Üsküdar University is a relatively new university, founded in 2011 by Human Values and Mental Health Foundation, and is located in Istanbul.
  • Its annual tuition fee starts from $3,200-5,000$ in health sciences, communication, humanities, social sciences, engineering and natural sciences

  • The costs of studying in Turkey at public universities are relatively low compared to private universities.

  1. Muğla Sıtkı Kocman University

  • It was founded in 1975 in Muğla and includes 18 facilities, 13 vocational schools, 4 postgraduate colleges, and 35 research and application centers.

  1. Celal Bayar University

  • It is a research university established in 1992, located in Manisa.
