Istanbul Kent University

• Kent University, or Istanbul Kent, is a private Turkish university established in 2016 by the Education Without Barriers Foundation (ENEV) to support development and progress in Turkey.
• The first batches joined the university in the academic year 2017-2018. The university includes four faculties, two vocational schools, a faculty for postgraduate studies, and many research and applied centers.
• The university aims to offer modern and innovative education to keep pace with global changes and developments in education, science, and technology.

• The university has one campus located on the European side of Istanbul near the famous Taksim Square and the ancient Istiklal Street. The campus can be reached by many public transportations, including the metro.
• The campus is distinguished by its historical authenticity as it was established in 1846 as a German hospital by a German charitable organization.
•  The hospital was closed in 2013 by the bilateral agreement between Turkey and Germany after World War II and turned into the Istanbul High School.
• Subsequently, the building was developed, modernized, and equipped with the latest technological equipment to become the Istanbul Kent University in 2016.

Istanbul Kent University is ranked 10755 globally and178 locally among Turkish universities according to the global university ranking website Webometrics.

Istanbul Kent University is recognized by the Turkish Council of Higher Education (YÖK). It is also recognized by the European Union and most countries worldwide.

Istanbul Kent University offers Associate degrees, bachelor's degrees, and master's degrees as follows:

1- Associate degree

The university offers an associate degree through its institutes. The study is available in Turkish only with a duration of two years:

Vocational School of Health Services

• It includes the following specializations: Anesthesia, Child Development, Electro Neurophysiology, First Aid and Emergency, Medical Documentation and Secretarial, Medical Imaging Techniques, Operating Room Services, Oral and Dental Health, Physiotherapy, and Social Services.

Vocational Justice School

• It contains one specialization, which is justice.

2- Bachelor's degree

Istanbul Kent University offers a bachelor's degree in 4 faculties:

Faculty of Dentistry

• The study will be available in Turkish and English for five years.

Faculty of Art and Design

• It has Gastronomy and Culinary Arts specialization in Turkish and English instruction mediums. Interior Architecture is also available in the Turkish medium of instruction for four years.

Faculty of Health Sciences

• It includes the following specializations: Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation, Nursing, Nutrition and Dietetics, Midwifery, and Speech and Language Therapy.

The duration of study for these specializations is four years. All the specializations are in Turkish except Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation, which are available in Turkish and English.

Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences

• It offers the following specializations: Political Science, Public Administration, International Trade and Logistics, Business Administration, Public Relations and advertising, Social Services, and Psychology.

The faculty offers Political Science, Public Administration, Business Administration, and Psychology in English and Turkish medium of instruction. The duration of these programs is four years.

3- Master's degree

The Faculty of Social Sciences has a master's degree with a Turkish medium of instruction only. It includes the following specializations:

Clinical Psychology

•  It is available with two options: a thesis option and a Non-thesis option.

Health Care Management

• It is available with two options: a thesis option and a Non-thesis option.

International Business Administration

• It is available with two options: a thesis option and a Non-thesis option.

Occupational Health and Safety

•  It is available with the Non-thesis option.

Kent Istanbul University contains many advanced centers such as:

Dental Practice and Research Center

It was established in 2019 with the aim of providing educational programs and syllabi to assist dental staff. The center jointly contributes with the relevant departments in other faculties such as the Faculty of Dentistry, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Faculty of Health Sciences, and the Vocational School of Health Services in the following:

• Provide the practical implementation of the theoretical knowledge by linking the university with real-life cases through continuous training.
• Follow up on the rapid developments in the dental sector and keep abreast of the latest technologies in this sector.
• Increase the quality of provided oral and dental health services and find solutions for the associated health problems.
• Enriching academia by sharing the obtained results from training activities, projects, and consultations and developing the academia by collaborations with different faculty members.
• Developing academic syllabi in line with modern requirements.

Research and Application Center

The center aims to keep the pace of developments at the local, regional and global levels through:

• The predictions of the future by analyzing the available data and information statistically.
• Developing proposals to redefine local and international security strategies.
• Conducting scientific research in politics, economics, technology, environment, society, and culture at the local and international levels.
• Carrying out projects and giving suggestions about renewable energy and sustainable development to create and maintain a healthy environment.

Vocational Development Center

The Vocational Development Center at Istanbul Kent University bridges academic and professional life. This center plays an essential role in the university life of undergraduate students through:

• Providing the necessary information and instructions about training opportunities and work areas for all university specializations.
• Providing courses and seminars on practical and vocational skills.
• Preparing students for practical life and developing plans for after graduation juncture through activities, workshops, training, guidance, and consultations throughout the year.

Istanbul Kent University fees for bachelor degree is:

• Passport copy
• High School Certificate, translated into English or Turkish and approved

If you have not completed high school, the certificate of the last semester (translated and certified)

• High school transcript, translated, and certified.
• Certificate of completion of the English language, if any, (if the student prefers to study in English).
