About Fatih University

Fatih Mehmet University was founded in 2010 by the General Directorate of Foundations in the historic Istanbul Peninsula, Republic of Türkiye, to reach the forefront of higher education and scientific research in Türkiye.

The university was established to provide specialized educational services through its founding contracts and to contribute to the development of knowledge through the dissemination of research results. It also seeks to prepare qualified technical personnel to meet the needs of institutions, in addition to preserving and promoting cultural heritage to serve society and humanity.

The university operates across five campuses in Istanbul, with its main hub,” Fatih Campus,” situated in the historic and culturally rich Fatih district.

Each campus hosts several research centers and canine services, as follows:

Topkapi Campus

This campus is dedicated to the use of FSMVU and hosts the Turkish Airlines Central Library at FSMVU, the Department of Foreign Languages ​​(Arabic), the Continuing Education Center, and the Center for Arabic Language Studies and Debates.

Haliç Campus

It hosts the Faculty of Law, the Faculty of Engineering, the Faculty of Architecture and Design, the Vocational School, the Career Center, and the Department of International Relations.

Uskudar Campus

It hosts the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, the Faculty of Education, the Vocational School of Arts, and the Center for Turkish Applied Studies and Research.

Hagia Sophia Campus

Admission to Fatih University

Certain requirements must be met to be accepted into Al-Fatih Endowment University, including the following:

  • Applicants must either hold foreign nationality or have completed their entire secondary education outside of Turkey (excluding Northern Cyprus).

  • Candidates should be high school graduates or currently enrolled in their final year of high school.

  • Must not hold Turkish citizenship or that of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, nor dual citizenship with either. If previously held, they must have completed all secondary education outside of Turkey and Northern Cyprus.

  • The applicant must not have been expelled from any higher education institution within Turkey.

Required Documents of Fatih University

  • High School Diploma and Transcripts

  •  Photocopy of Passport.

  • Language Proficiency Exam Results (Turkish, English, Arabic).

  • If available, a Hafiz Certificate issued by the Turkish Directorate of Religious Affairs is required for applicants to the Basic Islamic Sciences program.

  • Applicants to the Department of Traditional Turkish Arts should submit a portfolio showcasing their artistic work.

  • If you're applying to the Department of Architecture, you need to submit a portfolio that shows your design work.

  • YÖS exam results of other universities and national or international exam results.

  • Recommendation Letter.

  • Letter of Intent.

All the documents must be in English or Turkish.

Language Requirements

  • Turkish: proof of Turkish Language proficiency at a minimum level of C1 or attending a Turkish language preparatory course for one year.

  • Arabic: One year of Arabic preparatory class is mandatory for colleges that teach in Arabic, through holding an Arabic Proficiency Test.

  • English: For Programs with Language of Instruction 30% English, students should have  TOEFL IBT 72/120, FSMEPT 65/100, or PTE 65/90. For undergraduate programs taught entirely in English, students must have one of the following: FSMEPT score of 75/100, PTE Academic score of 65/90, or TOEFL iBT score of 78/120.
