IIUM is a public university established in 1983 in Gombak, Selangor, based on Islamic principles. It has also

Admission Requirements for International Islamic University Malaysia

For undergraduates: 

Applicants must possess one of the following:

  • General Certificate of Education (GCE) Advanced Level (A-Level).

  • International Baccalaureate (IB).

  • High School Certificates or any other equivalent qualification.

Master Programmes

  • Bachelor’s degree from the university or any other equivalent certificate recognized by the Senate.

  • CGPA of 2.75/4.00 and above in a related field.

  • Less than 2.75 CGPA but with relevant working experience in the applied field.

  • A suitable Research Proposal for Master by Research mode.

Ph.D. Programmes

  • A relevant Bachelor’s degree, and Master’s degree from IIUM or another University.

Campus of The International Islamic University Malaysia

The university's main campus is located in Gombak, Selangor, with 6 other campuses, 3 of which are in Kuantan, Pahang. The Foundation Studies Centre is located in Gambang, the Central Medical Campus is in Bandar Indira Mahkota, and the Clinical Campus is located near Hospital Tengku Ampuan Afzan. Mahallah of International Islamic University Malaysia

It is a residential college for students of the university. IIUM has 21 Mahallat established throughout 3 campuses, which are Gombak, Kuantan, and Pagoh campus.

Gombak comprises 17 mahallahs, providing accommodation for approximately 17,000 students. There are six for boys: Al-Farooq, Al-Siddiq, Ali ibn Abi Talib, Bilal ibn Rabah, Uthman ibn Affan, and Al-Zubayr Al-Awam. And 9 for girls: Amprograms, Asma, Hafsa, Halima Al-Sadia, Maryam, Nasiba, Safiyya, and Sumayya. There are also two mixed mahallahs: Ruqayyah and Salahuddin.
