Gelişim University 1st in Impact Rankings among Turkish Foundation Universities 2024

Istanbul Gelişim University (IGU) has been ranked first among foundation universities in Türkiye in the “Clean and Accessible Energy” category in the Times Higher Education Impact Rankings 2024, and ranked 6th among Turkish universities, representing a significant improvement from its 12th place in last year 2023.

A total of 2,152 universities were evaluated in the Times Ranking based in the United Kingdom, which is the world's leading higher education ranking agency. Türkiye became the second country to receive the highest number of rankings in the Times Ranking for 2024, with 92 Turkish universities ranked.

This achievement comes as Gelişim University continues its commitment to achieving environmental sustainability through various initiatives, including its focus on sustainability studies in all fields, and the implementation of value-added projects in the areas of university-industry cooperation, science and technology, and employment.

• Partnerships for Goals: Gelişim University is ranked 12th in Türkiye, 5th among foundation universities in Türkiye, and 401-600 globally.
• Health and Quality of Life: Gelişim University is ranked 28th in Türkiye, 9th among foundation universities in Türkiye, and 601-800 globally.
• Reducing inequality: Gelişim University ranked 26th in Türkiye, 9th among foundation universities in Türkiye, and 401-600 globally.
