Facilitating Visa Procedures for International Students in Turkey 2024

In line with Turkey's commitment to internationalize its education system and align it with international and European standards, a protocol of cooperation has been signed between the Ministry of Interior, Directorate General of Migration Management, and the Council of Higher Education regarding residence permit applications for international students.

As a result of this decision, the process of obtaining a student visa to study in Turkey will be made easier, and the issuance of residence permits for international students already studying in Turkey will be facilitated. This will save a significant amount of effort in obtaining these documents. The signatories of this protocol have also pledged to issue more residence permits for students, ensuring that they have a legal and secure status within Turkey.

It is worth mentioning that Turkey has a strong competitive advantage in higher education, which is why a large number of students from 198 different countries are studying in Turkish universities.
