Istanbul Medipol University receives “Candidate Research University” status and achieves a global leap in international rankings.
In a new academic achievement that strengthens its position locally and internationally, Istanbul Medipol University has received the status of "Research University Candidate" for the first time, through an official decision from the Turkish Higher Education Council (YÖK).
The decision was announced during the Research Universities Evaluation Meeting hosted by Yildiz Technical University, where the President of the Turkish Higher Education Council, Professor Erol Özvar, announced the inclusion of Medipol University in the list of universities nominated for advanced scientific research.
For his part, the President of Istanbul Medipol University, Professor Bahaddin Kürşat Güntürk, confirmed that this classification did not come out of nowhere, but is a direct result of the academic and research strategies that the university has pursued in recent years.
Güntürk stated:
"Receiving the status of research university candidate is a clear reflection of the investments we have made in the scientific research system and academic performance. We will continue to work on increasing scientific output, providing a stronger environment for researchers, and expanding our international academic partnerships."
