This section includes two sections with 20 questions each and Test-takers need 30 minutes to finish each section.

This section includes three types of questions like text completion , sentence equivalence and reading Comprehension. 

The score of this section ranges from 130 t0 170 with one point increment. 

3. Quantitative Reasoning 

This section also includes two sections with 20 questions each.  35 minutes is allowed to complete each section.

This exam is designed to evaluate your basic math skills through many types of questions including numeric entry questions, multiple choice questions with one or more answers and quantitative comparison questions. 

The score of this section ranges from 130 to 170 with one point increment and the exam includes many topics like algebra, geometry, data analysis and arithmetic. 

4. Unscored Research Section 

This section could be either a verbal or quantitative reasoning section that is used for research purposes and does not count towards your score. 

5. Unscored Verbal or Quantitative Reasoning Section 

This section is used for future test development and may be either verbal or quantitative.

6. Experimental Section 

This section could be either verbal or quantitative and is used to test out new questions for future exams but this section does not count towards your score.

The total testing time for the computer-based GRE is about 3 hours and 45 minutes, including breaks.

What is GMAT? 

The GMAT, or Graduate Management Admission Test, is a standardized test used for admission to graduate management programs, such as MBA programs.

GMAT format 

The GMAT format depends on where you take this test online or at testing center but generally the GMAT is a computer-adaptive test that consists of four main sections:

The score of this assessment starts from 0 to 6 with a half point increment. 

2. Integrated Reasoning (IR)

3. Quantitative Reasoning 

This section assesses mathematical skills and problem-solving abilities. It consists of 31 multiple-choice questions to be completed in 62 minutes.

This section measures if you have enough data to answer the questions (data sufficiency).

Your score ranges from 6 to 51 with one point increment. 

4. Verbal Reasoning 

This section evaluates reading sentence correction skills, critical reasoning and comprehension. It consists of 36 multiple-choice questions to be completed in 65 minutes.

The score ranges from 6 to 51 with one point increment. 

In addition to these four sections, there may be an optional 8-minute break between the third and fourth sections. 

The total testing time for the GMAT is approximately 3 hours and 30 minutes, including breaks and instructions.

• It's allowed to use basic online calculators during the integrated reasoning section only.
• If you take GMAT online, you can use a white board to solve the problem but at the testing center, you will be provided with a laminated notebook with dry erase markers. 
•  No skip or return to the questions.
• Can't change your answers during GMAT.
