Turkish Presidential Decision Regarding Palestinian Students in Turkey 2024

In light of its responsibility towards the situation in Gaza, the Turkish Presidency has issued a circular on November 16, 2023, exempting Palestinian students studying in Turkey, and their families in Gaza, from any tuition fees for the second semester. The circular also states that the students will be refunded the fees paid for the first semester.

It is important to note that the exemption applies only to morning undergraduate students and institute students studying at Turkish government universities. The state will cover these fees on their behalf. Online or distance learning students are not included in the exemption decision.
